What type of gas is best? Is racing fuel a good alternative?back to top
Always use high octane gas from a local gas station. 91+ premium unleaded fuel is best. Racing fuel will not enhance the performance of your bike. It may even degrade its performance.

What should the oil mixture be? How do I mix it?back to top
(This section only applies to our 2-Stroke bikes; 4-Stroke bikes need only pure gasoline)

The gas-to-oil mixture should be 25:1 on new motors and 50:1 on motors that are broken in. Mixing the fuel is very easy and takes less than 1 minute. Use the provided mixing bottle, pour the gas into the bottle to the specified line and pour the 2-Stroke Motorcycle Oil (do not use regular car oil) to the designated line. Close the cap and shake for 5 seconds. You are ready to fill the bike with the mixture.

How long is the break-in period? What is the procedure?back to top
When the bike is new, it is recommended that it not be run at max RPM's during the initial break-in period, which is about 3-4 tanks of gas. After that, you may run the bike as hard as you want.

How do you properly start the bike?back to top
Below is the proper procedure to start your pocket bike via the Pull Start:
1. Stand up the bike; you should be straddling the bike. The pull start cord is on your right side.
2. Put the choke lever on the closed position ( this is usually the UP position ).
3. Pull the start cord out slowly till it reaches its maximum length. Repeat this procedure 2-3 times.
4. Then pull the cord out swiftly with one strong pull.
( pull the cord straight back; do not pull at an angle ).
5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 until the bike starts.
6. After the bike starts, let it warm up for 1 minute. Then put the choke lever to the open position.
7.
The bike is now ready to ride.

* Starting may require several tries when the bike is still new. After break-in, the bike will start up with only one or two pull procedures.

Below is the proper procedure to start your pocket bike via the Electric Start:
1. Insert the key and turn it clockwise (if applicable).
2 .Be sure the included fuse has been installed. Check to make sure all the ACC components are functioning.
3. Put the choke on "closed" (refer to your manual if you don't know where the choke lever is on your bike).
4. Pull the brake lever in (built-in safety mechanism) and push the start button.
5. When the bike starts, keep the choke closed until the bike warms up.
6. When the bike is ready, put the choke on "open."
7. The bike is now ready to ride.

How do you fill air in the tires? What is the correct PSI?back to top
Both tires have valves similar to automobile tires. Any air filling device designed for automotive tires will work for these tires as well. The correct pressure is 30 PSI in front and 32 PSI in the rear tires.

How long can these bikes be ridden continuously?back to top
We recommend that you give these bikes a cool down period of 10 minutes between each tank of gas, depending on the weather. However, our test riders do ride these bikes continuously for over three hours on a regular basis without any problems.

How long is the riding time per tank of gas?back to top
This really depends on the riding conditions. One tank of gas typically lasts 1 - 1.5 hours in moderate racing conditions.

I broke a part on my bike. How can I fix it?back to top
How to go about repairing your bike depends on which part is broken. The majority of parts on these bikes can be repaired and replaced by a regular do-it-yourself person. No special tools are needed. If a part happens to break or needs replacing from wear and tear (such as brake pads and tires), please check the OEM PARTS section on our web site, email us directly at parts@minipocketrockets.com or call us Toll-Free at 1-877-MPR-BIKES (1-877-677-2453). We offer replacement parts at 20 - 50% discounts if you purchased your bike from us.

How do you fix the exhaust if it is damaged?back to top
The exhaust can become damaged after a hard crash. Though the bike can be ridden without its muffler / silencer, it can become quite noisy. Most damage sustained in the exhaust piping can be welded at your local muffler shop. Prices for simple welds run anywhere from $5 to $10 depending on the shop. However, if you do manage to damage your exhaust pipe, it would be a great opportunity to upgrade to one of our Performance Exhaust Systems on our PERFORMANCE PARTS page. Not only is it more durable than the stock pipe, it will increase the performance of your pocket bike along with giving it a sporty new tone.

Is the Fuel Filter necessary? How do I replace it?back to top
Most of our bikes include an inline fuel filter installed on the rubber hose that leads from the fuel tank to the motor. It is there to add an extra layer of protection for the motor in case debris is introduced into the bike's fuel tank. If you are careful in keeping contaminants out of your fuel tank, you may bypass the fuel filter by purchasing a similar rubber hose at your local auto parts store and cutting it to the length needed to reach the fuel tank and the motor and discarding the old unit.

If you would prefer to use the fuel filter and need to replace it, you may purchase one on our OEM PARTS page.

Gas is leaking from the overflow tube. How do I stop it?back to top
This is a common adjustment and it is due to the float getting stuck or dirty. Sometimes dirt and debris get stuck inside the bowl. First, bounce the butt of the bike up and down to try to knock the float loose. If that doesn't work, drain the gas and look on the bottom of the bike. You will notice a metal part that looks like a doggy bowl. The clear (or black) tube where the gas is leaking from connects to it. It has one screw in the middle and 2 screws on each side. Remove the 2 side screws. Inside you will see a float (looks like a donut). Take the float out and clean it. Check to make sure the gasket is not blocking the donut from sliding up and down freely. If so, trim the inner circle of the gasket. Do not cut too much. Replace everything you removed and the bike should not be leaking gas anymore.

How do I remove the speed governor on the X7 Bullet?back to top
To remove the speed governor, you must first remove the black box that is located in front of the rear shock absorber (where the choke lever is located). Take off the 1 screw that holds the black box cover on. Follow the throttle cable to where it connects to the black box. Right by it you should see a screw; It is on the side of the bike where the kickstand is. Remove the screw completely if you want to go full speed. Loosen it a little if you want the bike to go a little faster but still want to govern the speed. Replace everything you removed.
